Going the extra mile, a night-out, and our smiley boy...

Well this past week we've had some real fun moments...

Dallin reached his 3 month mark, and has taken on the nickname "Smiles." He is an amazingly happy and content boy and his smile is seriously priceless. He's up to 14 lbs! And slowin down in height a bit. He loves to chew and drool on his blankets, jackets, little ty doggy, squishy turtle, and teething ring. He's gettin better at belly time, and the one pic is the best I've seen him get his head up. He is a great sleeper, been sleepin through the night for a couple weeks now...Hooray! He has charming dark blue eyes and irresistibly chubby cheeks. He loves song time before bed, and particularly loves when Daddy does the hokey pokey song with him. He hasn't been liking bathtime as much lately, not sure why, but he loves being on the changing table and having his diaper changed. We love our lil smiley boy!Last week, we received a letter from the Battle Creek District of the Utah National Parks Council acknowledging Micah as an outstanding scout leader. He was selected to receive the Second Miler Award, and we were invited to a recognition night thursday evening for the awards presentation and refreshments. Micah really hates being recognized for anything, and is very modest about his success with the boys. But this award really was very well deserved! He is a great leader and example to the boys and he really knows how to connect with them on their level, while still maintaining respect as their leader. He gets compliments all the time on his success in the 11year old program, and its the perfect place for him too, cuz he starts em off on the right foot and then he sends em on prepared and excited! So Kudos to Micah! (At the start of this last semester he also received a very nice scholarship as well...) All in all, we are so proud of him for workin hard and succeeding in so many different responsibilites and aspects of life. We love you, Daddy!
As for the two of us, we were able to enjoy a nice night out together on Saturday evening. We went to the Jazz game, playing against the OKC Thunder. It was a good game, and we had good seats. I couldn't decide who I really wanted to root for. But the Thunder came out on top, after the Jazz couldn't hit a shot. We also went out to eat beforehand at a little place we'd heard about in south Salt Lake called Big Kahunas Pizza and Stuffs. It was some of the most delicious pizza we've ever had! Thanks go to Ash and Dan for taking Dallin for the evening too. I had a little bit of a hard time being away from him for that long, but he did very well. And we hear that he loves smilin at Daniel's funny faces. I have been takin care of Jaden and Hailey on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays while Daniel is at school, and Dal and I love it! Its been good for both us...sometimes a challenge to all of a sudden have 3 kids, but all-in-all its great!

So life is good, we are happy, healthy, and thriving! And thats our story and we're stickin to it!
