Well I am almost finished with the ten bridesmaids sashes for A3's wedding, and of course its almost 1 in the morning and we leave in about 8 hours....Woo hoo! Thats actually better than I expected. Considering all the long hours I have done studying this week, when I wasn't sewing or sleeping or eating. But I am alive and excited for the weekend! Yeah for Sam and Audrey...You've almost made it! Engagement is just awesome, but I wouldn't go back; marriage is better ;) Well here is the finished bridemaid look for this weekend. Idea designed by Audball. Tailored skirts by Momma. And matching sashes by me. Yeah for a creative family!

The joys and struggles of "simplifying"
When life gets too overwhelming and you feel you are spread too thin. When you get to the point that you can't meet the expectations of any demand, don't beat yourself up over it, don't stress yourself so much that you are no longer happy, don't run faster than you have strength.....JUST SIMPLIFY!!!!
Thats the most important thing I have learned from this demanding semester of school and work, and dozens of other things (where I have become almost non-existent).....Don't be afraid to simplify your life! You don't have to do everything.
In fact, I've found new life and energy in overcoming my pride that tells me I can do it all...
All I have to say to that darn pride is... to remember GOOD, BETTER, BEST!
Oh how liberating it feels to really succeed in the best things, even if it means giving up some, good or even better things... :)

1+1=???
So the other night Alison and I were having a couple friends over for dinner and were going to make some scalloped potatoes. Neither of us knew off hand how to make them and none of our cookbooks had the recipe. Being from a modern day generation, we googled it, but none of the recipes seemed "right". So we did the only thing we could do, we went cryin' home to momma. We decided we would both call our moms and use the easiest recipe they could pull together. It turned out that Momma T. had the easiest with using a cream of something soup. We made it, loved it, and life was good.
The moral of the story is when I got married, I thought I was marrying Alison. Well, it turns out I was marrying her and another host of ideas, experiences, and personnal ties that neither of us expected, and the same went for her.
Man and wife shall cleave unto each other and the twain shall be one flesh. 1+1=1, and 1+1= much more than you ever expected.
