Cali Highlights #1
On our last day in California before getting in the car and heading to Winnemuca where we stayed over on Thursday night, we made a visit to the Oakland Temple. It is very beautiful! We took pictures, went in the visitors center, and did a little temple work. One of our 5 goals of this trip was to go to a California Temple, so we were fortunate to have been able to get that in on our last day. Here's some of the pics we took...

when the temple was being constructed, the architect showed David O. McKay the plans for the sculpture of Christ and disciples on one of the exterior walls of temple. He said it looked fine except that that wasn't quite what the Savior looked like, so the plans were adjusted a bit.
