My Favorite Spring/Summer Hobby

GARAGE SALING!!!

I'll admit I might be a little addicted, but its just cuz I love being frugal and saving money, and you can find so many good deals on good things if you just hunt around a little. One thing I discovered I really love about Utah is KSL.com Classifieds. Its an awesome way to buy or sell good quality things at low prices that people just dont want or need anymore. People also advertise their garage sales for free on their too. Thats how I usually plan out my Saturday mornings. During the week I go on and pick out 5-6 sales that I want to hit and where they are located. Then I plan out my route for Saturday morning. I pretty much got all of Dallin's baby stuff from garage sales the 2 summers before he joined our family and saved 1000's of dollars that people often spend on baby stuff. There's even a whole section of free stuff that people just need gone and want somebody to claim. Here are my two favorite finds from KSL lately. The first is "my ugly chair". It cost me $5 and is super comfy. Its a swivel rocker, and works perfectly for nursing & rocking Dallin. Of course its a deep aqua color right now, not so attractive, but I hope to recover it in brown soon. Yes! My second most recent favorite find was a jogging stroller. Cost me $40, and it is in very good condition. Dallin and I tried it out for the first time yesterday, and its AWESOME! Perfect for our needs...Dallin is a little too heavy now for me to carry him in the carrier for much of a walk, so we can get a little more exercise than before without running my back out of energy, and Dallin can just chill and look up at all the leaves and trees! So anyways, GarageSaling & KSL are two of the ways I really love to save money...you should try it too ;)

Our DalyPalyPooPoo is 5 Months!

Yeah so I kinda missed Dallin's 4 month post, so here's those quick stats.

Still very tall at 26inches!

Average weight at 14lbs 5oz

Average head size at 16.5inches.

As for the past month, he is now up to a whoping 17lbs!!! And has only grown another 1/2 inch. So basically he is getting chubbier and rounder and filling out a bit...hehe :)

Other things about Dal...He has very strong legs and hips. He's always got his feet up in the air and loves when people pat on his feet. He's not quite crawlin' yet, but loves being on his belly and turning in circles. He gets really talkative at night and still loves song time before bed. He also wakes up with a smile and just plays in his crib till momma hears him rustling around. He has such an easy, happy nature and loves seeing new people. He chews on everything, but hasn't quite got any teeth yet. He loves hangin out with his cousins Hailey and Jaden, even if he gets poked and pinched alot. He goes just about anywhere with momma without makin a fuss about anything. We are truly spoiled with such a good baby! I think he's lost that newborn look and is just gettin cuter and cuter by the minute...Enjoy some of the pics we've taken this month...Gotta love this little man! :)

GO MICAH!

Micah is down to the home stretch of his mechanical engineering bachelors at BYU! He is nearing the home base with only a week to go....Things have been a bit crazy around here. Daddy has been gone alot working on homework and projects. We haven't seen much of him, cept for several hours in the evening to have dinner and put us to bed, hehe :), then he's up doing more homework till the wee hours of the night... and he is pretty exhausted, but we are just cheerin our hearts out for him to finish big! Dal and I love him so much and are so proud of all the hard work he has put in to not only make it through a very difficult and competitive degree, but to also qualify for scholarships, grants, and awards. He has done an amazing job in school! And on top of that has worked part-time all through school to finish with very little debt and lots of good work experience! He has been putting his resume out there to various companies in various places, and we are anxious to see where the next chapter of our lives will take us! We may also just stay right where we are with the company he has been working for for the past 4 years...we'll see... Anyways, we want to give a great big shout out to Micah and say "we believe in you daddy, you will make it, you have just what it takes, go get 'em!"
