TWO!

Dallin is our blond haired blue eyed charm. He has always been very easygoing and mild mannered, though not lacking in energy in anyway. He loves to be outside. He loves trucks, tractors, and trains. He also likes animals and can say most of their names and noises now and even some of their signs. He has no fear of new places, and likes to wander and explore. He's not afraid of new people either, but can get a little overstimulated in large groups. He likes to eat, even vegetables, but especially fruits, like Mama, and he has quite the sweet tooth too, like Mom. But really is more of a daddy's boy. He has a sweet spot for dad, still loves to take naps with him and fix things in the garage with his tools. He also loves bath or shower time with Dad. He mows the lawn with dad, and takes the trash out with Mom. He is so eager to learn and help with things. He even loves to carry his own bag of dirty diapers out to the trash. He likes to dump things out, but also loves to put things back in their place. He loves to feed Emmy. And give her hugs and kisses. He is also generous with his toys, even sharing some of his favorite ones with her when she's sad. He doesn't hoard toys in nursery, but goes around playing from toy to toy and watching what all the other kids are doing. He recently gave up his pacifier and bottle, but still loves his Bear. He's saying prayers, starts off with "Fahder" very gently and loves to end with a very loud "Mamen!". He also loves to say the word "Happy" and that is truly a gift I see in him already, a natural ability to make others smile and laugh. We are so lucky to have him in our little family and can't wait to see him continue growing and developing in his own way.

We are so happy to have such a sweet and smart two year old in our house now, yep he's 2! We celebrated his birthday on Friday. Micah went in to work a little later than usual so he could be there when Dallin got up. He woke up to balloons, decorations, and a gift from us. He got to pick what he wanted to eat for breakfast, and he mostly got my undivided attention throughout the day, minus sharing a bit of it with Emmy. He still wanted to go play outside even, regardless of the snow rain, so we did. I let him run around naked for a while inside, cuz he has been fascinated by taking off his clothes and diaper lately. And he got to watch Curious George and Winnie the Pooh, his favorite movies. Then for dinner we had eggs and ham, which are some of his favorites. I made a cute Curious George cake for him and he got to open the gift Baba, Papa, and GG sent for him (perfect timing ;)). It turned out to be a great day! Nothing too fancy or busy or expensive. Just a simple good day together, celebrating our special sweet Dallin. :)
