Al&Dal&Micah&Em: July is gone...Picture Overload!

Well its been over a month since I posted anything. And I missed Dallin's 8 month post...So I'm sure these pictures and updates are overdue, but thats life, so enjoy anyways...

The beginning of July was busy with travels to Colorado for my cousin Enola's wedding and some good times at Grandpa Bob's Ranch, followed by 3 days up at Bear Lake for Micah's Family Reunion. We even took Jaden with us, and he had a blast camping with us. It was also Dallin's first camping adventure, and it turned out so good we stayed an extra day longer than we had planned. I'll admit, it was nice to get home and wash off all the bugspray and sunscreen though.

Since being back home, Micah finished up his last week at ClearStream and started a new job as a Design Engineer at FLSmidth. He works out of Midvale, only about a half hour commute, so the good news is we are staying put and wont have to move. He is on a 6month contract to hire and feels pretty good about things so far. He's got a nice cubicle right off the elevator on the 3rd floor, and really enjoys the other people he is working with so far. He came home just beaming the first two days, so we are excited for him to have new opportunities, responsibilities, and build new relationships. He has also already made connections with the Emergency Response Team within the company, and will have a little role there as well. So things are looking up, after a hard couple months of job-hunting... Heavenly Father always takes care of us!

As for our little DalPal, he is getting stronger every day! He has figured out how to crawl on his hands and knees, although he realized it is still faster scooting on his belly, so he likes to get around that way still. Everything around the house at about the 2foot level is at the peak of his interest. He can pull himself up to anything he can grip his hands on and lean against. You can just see the joy in his face when he pulls himself up to something he hadnt discovered the day before. Pretty much everything at that 2 foot level has now been rummaged through, like a little tornado has been all over the house. He doesnt even really play with stuff, he just makes a big mess and then moves on to something else he can make a mess of. Its pretty funny to watch. He also loves to feed himself cheese puffs and flavored stars! Its fun to watch him figure out how to get them in his hand and into his mouth. This past week has been a little rough for him. We think several teeth on the top are moving in. He wont take his pacifier anymore, which is probably actually a good thing in the long run, though a little frustrating at the moment, and he has been waking a lot in the night. We are hoping it passes soon...And we still love every bit of our little boy, even when he's so fussy. Its mostly just hard on mommy and daddy, cuz he's been so easy and happy all the time, that when he does have a problem, were not used to it... We've got a lot to learn!

On a different note...at church, Micah and I have some new responsibilities. Micah will be teaching the 13 year old Sunday School class, and I will be working with the Relief Society Activities Committee. Should be some good new experiences for us. We have had a good time getting to know people so far too. There are alot of very well-seasoned and talented people here to learn from. So it should be fun for the next little while while we are here.
