Dallin has an eye infection. Doc says its caused by his tear duct not draining well. He says they can go in and dilate it, but they dont usually do that till they're about one. So for now he gets to endure some antibiotic drops in his eye twice a day. Every time I looks at his eye though, it makes me sad for him....

Did they tell you to massage the tear ducts with a warm cloth a few times a day? That's what they used to tell us.
Aww, so sad...but he's still SO cute!
I think Weston had something similar at about the same time (around 2 months). I never took him in though. I don't know if you're really supposed to do this, but someone told me to squeeze a couple drops of breastmilk in his eye. It seemed to clear up pretty fast.
Pam, we have been doing a little warm massage...probably only like once a day though. And annie, I've never heard of anything like that, but hey its worth a try, right. And yes, he is still cute and still very happy. Its like it hasn't even phased him, he made tons of friends at YM/YW last night. He smiled and talked with everyone! I love my boy! :)
Hey, Annie's friend Sarah from B'ville here. When I was in nursing school all of the pediatricians we rotated with would suggest the breast milk thing to moms who were iffy about using meds. Everyone I know who has tried it seems to have pretty good results. Just a few drops when nursing!
Oh, and I have to agree with Michelle, he is still sooo cute. Love that the eye doesn't seem to bother him at all.
at least he still looks happy! hopefully it will get better soon.
