So I know it probably seems like we just got into the Primary... But we just got kicked out! Haha no not really. Micah is actually still going to be in the primary but with the eleven year olds. Yep, you got it...he was called to the Scouts! No one saw that one comin huh. :) He's gonna do awesome with those boys! He's a natural scouter. So we got him a new uniform (which was outrageously expensive) and then I pulled my hair out trying to sew all the patches on before the first court of honor that was last Sunday evening. He looked sharp though. And the bishopric really wanted someone who would be a good example of wearing the uniform all the time and really encouraging the boys to do so too. I even went to the Court of Honor with him, because I wanted to learn more about it. It was fun, and I enjoyed seeing the different personalities of the boys and getting to know more families in the ward.
As for me, I was released from the primary, and called to the be the 2nd Miamaid Advisor in the Young Women Program. Yeah! I am really excited! I went to the first Wednesday night activity last week and quickly got nominated to help with the background stage decorations for the Ward Harvest Festival coming up on October 30th. It was fun to share my design eye, drawing skills, and painting skills.
Both Micah and I are sad to leave our primary class. We were just feeling like we were getting it down and then its up and on to something new. The one family with a boy with special needs (Eli) that was in our class was really disappointed to see us go so quickly. They were so excited to be able to go to their other classes for two hours and enjoy the time to learn on their own. It was nice that they trusted in us so much. I really love that little kid! So I hope that they will trust in the next person and just help the next teacher know what he needs. Anyways, here's a pic of our lovely little class and our lovely little friends on the last day with them.
Eli is the one on my lap playing with a stretchy band. Oh did I say that he is deaf blind. Yeah, he loved to play with my hair though. I always ended up with a new do by the end of church. Jonathan is the onetrying to make the bunny ears. He has an enormous amount of energy, and very little concentration time. So we had to be really creative and firm. Anyways, now we are on to new things, new faces, and new opportunities. More later...

Has anyone warned the Bishop yet that you two are really just big kids? :):) Look out scouts! :)I can see new camp fire creations on the horizon.
No really- you are awesome and you will be great at what ever you are asked to do.
I second that!!!
I feel sorry for that primary class - they just lost the best teachers in the ward! But you'll do great in your new callings.
Wow! You're a YW advisor! I really am getting old! Kathleen Burkinshaw Wright is now our Laurel Advisor. How long will I be in YW? How many generations will I see come through?
P.S. your music thing is covering the words so we can't read the entire post. fyi. ;-)
