Halloween 2008

So Micah and I went to a Murder Mystery Party for Halloween. We had specific characters that we had to dress like. So here in this picture you see...Ernest "Bet a million" G. Ambler and Molly M. Awbster, otherwise known as "The Moll". We had a great time. Ernie is a stoke broker turned into a gambler, and loves his flashy suits, cigar, and diamond stick pen. Molly is a high class rebel who went out with a mobster and learned how to shoot a gun and drive cars real fast. She serves as the getaway driver throughout the whole mystery. She teams up with Ernie who provides the cars with the trap doors in them. Neither one of us ended up being the Murderer, but we got close on figuring out who it was. In the next picture you'll see all the other couples in character. There were 4 couples total. We also had mummy wrap hotdogs, jack o lantern pizzas, and witch fingers as hors d'oeurves. It was alot of fun!!!

Pictured here from left to right are.... S. Treighton Harrow, known as "Harrow" the lawyer, Malissa F. Orthott, known as "Scoop" the reporter, Billy "The Kid" Thrower, the baseball player, Anna Maria Carlotta Sassine, known as "Torchy" the singer, Molly M. Awbster, known as "Moll" the getaway driver, Earnest "Bet a Million" G. Ambler, the flamboyant gambler, Eddie R. Gyle, known as "Socks" the golfer, and "Silky" M. Adam, the club owner.

Here's another group picture. To tell you a bit about our costumes. I made most of mine. I bought the little red dress at DI and then sewed on the red fringe. I got the wig and boa at Joanns and made the headpiece and beads too. The red fringe was the most expensive part. It all totalled to about 32 dollars. Micah got off alot easier than me. He borrowed the suit, belt, and shoes from his brother. And then used his white temple tie. He also creatively made his cigar out of a wire hanger and brown paper bag, as well as his diamond stick pin from a piece of hanger hot glued to a big jewel. The only thing he paid for was the two dollar keychain that had the big jewel on it. Overall we did pretty good. I was even voted best costume at the halloween party I went to the Saturday before. I think it all came down to the bright red lipstick! :)
